Our business model is simple. We provide great service to our cleints which results in us obtaining most of our new clients through referrals. This means we do not incur any significant marketing or advertising costs and as such we do not have to charge our clients a broker fee for the service we provide.
About Us
Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Ian McFarlane and I am the Principal Consultant with Bespoke Money. I set up Bespoke Money in 2008 with the goal of continually exceeding client expectations in providing friendly and professional mortgage advice. I am qualified to provide mortgage advice through obtaining the Financial Planning Certificate and also the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice with the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
Rachel McDonald is our Client Services Manager who works behind the scenes enhancing the client experience and managing the administrative functions within the firm. Rachel has a wealth of customer service experience and is currently studying through The London Institute of Banking and Finance.
We are not tied to any particular lender and are a member of one of the UK’s largest networks which means we work from a comprehensive panel which is representative of the whole of the market. We can also take advantage of market leading technology which is updated on a daily basis. This is pretty important at present as over the past few years the mortgage industry has gone through dramatic changes. Lenders are continuously changing their lending criteria and at times funding can be limited. We work with first time buyers, people looking to move home, clients looking to refinance or just simply looking for a better deal.
How We Work
We will work whatever way suits you best. Geographically, we are based in Carnoustie and serve clients all over Scotland. We will meet you at a time and place that is convenient for you. Historically, clients would want us to meet them at their home but we are now finding more and more clients are happier to discuss mortgage options through a meeting on zoom or teams. If you need to move quickly on a property or require to remortgage fast we can normally get a mortgage agreed in principle for you the same day. Our philosophy is not just to provide a one-off mortgage advice solution, but to assist you throughout the term of your mortgage.
